Strengthening the Partnership among the PNHRS Core Agencies

In order to strengthen the existing collaboration, the PNHRS core agencies met last April 12, 2011 at the Commission on Higher Education Bldg., Quezon City. Present in the meeting are Dr. Patricia B. Licuanan and Dr. Jean C. Tayag of CHED; Dr. Virginia G. Ala of the Department of Health - Health Policy Development and Planning Bureau (DOH-HPDPB); Dr. Salome Vios of the University of the Philippines - National Institutes of Health (UP-NIH) and a team from the Philippine Council for Health Research & Development (PCHRD) headed by Dr. Jaime C. Montoya.
The meeting serves as the venue to discuss the existing framework of collaboration; the National Unified Health Research Agenda (NUHRA); the activities undertaken such as capacity building, research journal activities and the operations of the Regional Health Research & Development Consortia (RHRDCs); and the status of the PNHRS Bill.
There will be a renewal of commitment to be set within the year.
