PNHRS Committees

Background

Six (6) Committees were organized and convened by PCHRD-DOST and DOH to provide the framework for the implementation of the six (6) components of the Philippine National Health Research System (PNHRS), namely:

Functions/Responsibilities

  • Provide PCHRD-DOST and DOH technical assistance in establishing running systems for the PNHRS as well as in overseeing implementation of its subsystems.
  • Come up with the following required outputs for their respective components:
    • Situationer
    • Proposed programs
    • Proposed strategies to implement the program
    • Proposed action plans (long term; year 2004)
    • Proposed indicators for monitoring and evaluating the component
    • Responsibilities/functions of the Committee members and PNHRS stakeholders and actors
    • Implementing Rules and Regulations for the component

The Committees are (1) Research Management (Research Agenda); (2) Ethics; (3) Capacity Building; (4) Research Utilization for Health Gains; (5) Resource Mobilization / Generation and (6) Structure, Organization, Monitoring & Evaluation.
