Call for paper for the Regional Research Conference

The Consortium will be conducting a  Regional Conference for Health and Health-related completed studies in the Graduate and Undergraduate levels on May 22, 2014 at the ATI Hall in Benguet State University. The regional conference has two objectives:

1. To provide an interactive space for graduate and undergraduate students to present their completed studies (thesis, dissertation); and

2. To serve as  venue for dissemination to the public,  research- based understanding and solution to health and well-being problems.  Later, these will be uploaded to the HERDIN as part of the region’s data base and information system.

 In this regard, may we call for submission of three completed studies from your institution either all coming from your graduate school, undergraduate, or a combination?  Themes may cover health, health-related, environmental health, food and health, IKSP and well-being, agriculture and health, among others.  In all, we will be getting two (2) completed researches and one (1) poster from each of the participating institutions.  Researches that have undergone ethical clearance will have chances of participating in  in the 8th Philippine National Health Research System Week celebration in August 2014. The guidelines can be downloaded from the download section of our website.

1st Philippine eHealth Summit set, call for entries to poster exhibit contest on

The Department of Science and Technology (DOST) and the Department of Health (DOH) are hosting the 1st Philippine eHealth Summit on 30 October 2013.

With the theme “eHealth– Exploiting ICT for Better Health,” the Summit aims to be a platform for exchange of information and expertise on what had been done and current initiatives on eHealth in the country. It will feature the Philippine eHealth Strategic Framework and Plan to gather stakeholders’ inputs and buy-in.

As part of its program, undergraduate and graduate students as well as professionals are invited to join the Poster Exhibit Contest on researches and projects, which use ICT for Health.

Forum’s KP4KP theme underscores research to policy links

Stakeholders of health research will convene for the 13th National Forum on Health Research for Action to be held on November 20 and 21, 2012 at the Pan Pacific Hotel, Manila.  With the theme “Kalusugan Pananaliksik para sa Kalusugan Pangkalahatan (KP4KP), the forum willshowcase evidence from research as necessary inputs for the development of policies towards the achievement of Universal Health Care goals.
